Investors In People Award

St Mary’s High School, a Specialist School in Mathematics and Business have scooped another prestigious award this year, ‘Investors in People’. This is the most successful framework for business improvement through people. It helps organisations of every size, sector and location to compete and succeed through improved people performance and help transform their businesses/schools. This accolade acknowledges the success of St Mary’s high level strategic aims, Valuing Education, Fulfilling Potential, Promoting Equality and Resourcing Education. An ‘Investor in People’ organisation recognises the combined achievements of all staff, teaching, non-teaching, ancillary and auxiliary in ensuring St Mary’s create an environment that is proactive in embracing change and responds positively to all initiatives and celebrates its success. Staff are very grateful to the Regional Training Unit’s Adviser, Imelda Mc Daid who shares in the schools success and also to the assessor Mr Stephen Mathews. Mrs Cosgrove, Principal was delighted with the comprehensive report that supported the Award which recognised a culture in the school in which staff have a strong sense of empowerment and responsibility for providing high standards of teaching and support for every pupil. Praise was given for sustained academic success and the lead the school has taken in new developments.
