Aims of Department

The ICT department aims to provide students with a wide range of software skills and theoretical knowledge of ICT.

In Key Stage 3 students will refine and enhance skills in each of the major software applications. In Key Stage 4 skills will vary depending on the course studied, but will enable students to have basic skills to either go into the workplace or to complete further ICT studies.  In Key Stage 5 the practical approach throughout units studied will enable students to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding of practices and techniques required in the workplace.  The IT skills developed are an integral part of most university courses
