As part of our Literacy Week celebrations we were extremely fortunate to welcome renowned author Mrs Pauline Burgess to St. Mary’s on Friday 8th March. She has written an array of short stories and children’s fiction and has recently published her second teen novel, Who Do You Think You Are? Pauline talked to Year 9 pupils about her journey as a writer and her love of and passion for reading. She read an extract of her latest novel to pupils and led them through a series of tasks and activities on their own identity. A thoroughly enjoyable and interesting morning was had by all!
