St Mary's Spring Concert
The assembly hall of St Mary’s was filled with music, energy, and applause as students took to the stage for our annual Spring Concert. St Patrick’s Day Celebrations
St Mary’s celebrated St Patrick’s Day with all pupils and staff joining in the festivities with some Irish dancing, some disco dancing, sing-alongs and even a Staff vs Pupils Gameshow. Well done to all involved.


Mike Denver Concert in Newry Cathedral
St Mary’s and St Joseph's Boys High School Choir had a very special performance at the Mike Denver Concert in Newry Cathedral. We were delighted to be invited to be part of this special occasion. Developing Employability Skills
Year 14 students participated in an Employability Masterclass facilitated by Maeve McParland and Deborah King from Newry and Mourne Enterprise Agency focusing on developing their employability and self-marketing skills within the recruitment process. The masterclass was followed by individual interviews where the students were able to demonstrate their skills and pick up important advice from a range of local business personnel. School Choir Perform at Newry Business Christmas Charity Dinner
St Mary’s Choir along with the choir from St Joseph's Boys' High School, Newry were delighted to be invited to sing at the Newry Business Christmas Charity Dinner in Canal Court Hotel. The choir joined other local schools in the area in welcoming invited guests to the event. We were also excited to be joined on stage by Northern Irish singer Brian Kennedy for a special rendition of Silent Night. Well done everyone, we are so proud of you all.

Year 14 Mini Enterprise
Congratulations to our Year 14 Business Studies Students who set up a mini enterprise cake business 'A Slice of Kindness’ in Buttercrane Shopping Centre today. The girls had a very successful day selling all types of tasty treats ranging from cupcakes to tray bakes and biscuits to mince pies. Presentation Evening in St Mary’s High School
We celebrated the GCSE and A’ Level achievements of our Senior Students at the annual Presentation Evening. Grace Hobden, Head Girl, welcomed everyone to the celebration and gave a special welcome to the Guest Speaker Edwina Flynn, President of Newry Chamber. Edwina congratulated the students on their excellent GCSE and A’Level results and on their many curricular and extracurricular achievements in school. Health and Well-being Day
Students took a well deserved break from their regular timetable to enjoy a range of activities designed to support their physical and mental health. Each year group had an opportunity to participate in a Clubbercise workout led by Elaine Cunningham from EMC Fitness. This activity was a fun, full body workout that incorporated dance and combat moves to classic club anthems.
