St Mary’s is an active member of Newry and Mourne Area Learning Community.  Collaborating with 16 other local schools and learning providers the community strives to provide pupils with access to learning pathways that offer a broader and more flexible curriculum so that they can choose a blend of courses including traditional academic and vocational courses which best meets their needs, aptitudes, aspirations and interests.

St Mary’s in recent years has extended its curriculum provisions at GCSE and GCE ‘A’ Level by collaborating with St Colman’s College Newry, the Southern Regional College and St Mark’s High School Warrenpoint.
