Investors in People Health
Vice Principal Mr M Fitzpatrick and Senior Teacher Mrs T Kearney were recently presented with the Investors in People, Health and Wellbeing Award from the Director of Business Kufa Matiya at an IIP special ceremony in Belfast Castle.
St Mary’s has been an Investors in People organisation since 2010. This award recognises the combined achievements of all staff in ensuring St Mary’s creates an environment that is proactive in embracing change, responds positively to all initiatives to promote health and wellbeing and celebrates its many successes.
The Health and Wellbeing Award recognises the culture in the school in which staff have a very strong sense of empowerment and responsibility for providing high standards of teaching, learning and support of every pupil. Praise was given for the wide range of health and wellbeing initiatives that take place within the school. As an Investors in People organisation St Mary’s has introduced many new developments in the school and in the wider community. These initiatives support the health and wellbeing of the entire school community and ensure that both students and staff receive every opportunity to reach their full potential.
