The pupils in St Mary's recently raised £500 for The Donal Walsh Livelife Foundation. Donal died from cancer in 2013 at the young age of 16 and through his inspirational writing and appearances on TV he conveyed powerful messages about the value of life, faith and the importance of young people's positive mental health. We were delighted Mrs Elma Walsh, Donal's mum, visited St Mary's to share Donal's story with us.
The pupils are pictured presenting a cheque for £500 to Mrs Elma Walsh. Also in the photo is Mrs Cosgrove (Principal), Miss D Crawley (Vice Principal) and Mrs J Hughes (Senior Teacher).
