Our English Department celebrated Literacy Week with activities such as daily puzzles and quizzes which were displayed around the school. To coincide with World Book Day, staff dressed up as book characters and we invited local author Pauline Burgess to school. Pauline talked to Year 9 pupils about her journey as a writer and her love of and passion for reading. She read an extract of her latest novel, Who Do You Think You Are? to pupils.
