Students took a well deserved break from their regular timetable to enjoy a range of activities designed to support their physical and mental health.

Each year group had an opportunity to participate in a Clubbercise workout led by Elaine Cunningham from EMC Fitness. This activity was a fun, full body workout that incorporated dance and combat moves to classic club anthems. The girls enjoyed getting creative with their glow in the dark equipment and uv face paints. Many thanks to Elaine for her infectious energy and for providing our students with such a fun experience before their mid-term break.

Students then participated in some yoga exercises led by Mrs McCann. This was a fantastic opportunity to participate in meditation practices as a way to relax and unwind.  Miss Bannon and Miss O'Hare along with our Sports Captain Orlaith McGuinness also set up some games and activities in the gym for our girls to enjoy.

In the afternoon, our Year 13 and 14 Students received CPR and AED Training.  Special thanks to Miss Rocks and Miss Keenan for guiding the girls through these important and life saving steps.

After our physical activity was complete, we all explored some healthy food options in Home Economics led by the Health and Wellbeing Committee, Miss Digney, Mrs McCaffery and Mrs Forte. Some healthy treats were organised for Staff and Pupils.  Everyone enjoyed sampling smoothies, fruit kebabs, vegetables and hummus and guessing the identity of some hidden fruits and vegetables. Many thanks to Patrick Philips from Phillips Fruit and Veg who contributed to supplying the fruit and vegetables for the day.

Well done to all our school community for joining in with the fun and we especially loved all the wonderful costumes on display.  A special thanks to Mrs Malone Ryan for organising the day.
