Health and Wellbeing Day

On Wednesday 23rd October, St Mary's celebrated a Health and Wellbeing Day with the whole school community joining in with the fun activities. Our PE Department welcomed Danielle Hughes Quinn who held dance classes for our pupils and staff. The activities were a fun and exciting way to get pupils active and highlight the importance of lifelong physical activity. We would like to thank Danielle for a wonderful day of exercise, dance and fun. Our PE Department also organised dodgeball sessions which were a big hit with the pupils.

St Mary's Student Nutrition Action Group (SNAG) were also busy organising some healthy treats for staff and pupils.

Everyone enjoyed sampling smoothies, fruit kebabs, vegetables and hummus and guessing the identity of some hidden fruits and vegetables. SNAG are committed to encouraging healthy lifestyle and healthy eating with the aim of promoting our student’s self-confidence.

Well done to Year 8 Pupil Jennifer Law who was the winner of our Halloween basket.

Many thanks to everyone involved for making it such a fun filled day for all and helping to raise funds for our Cash for Kids Campaign.
